Anderson Couto
Country Leader, Brazil
“But none of these things moves me, nor does it count my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received from the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.” —Acts 20:24
Anderson was born and raised in Guarapari, Espírito Santo, Brazil, where he began his youth soccer career. His emerging professional path nearly collapsed under addiction until his coach introduced him to Jesus Christ. Anderson responded to the Gospel, and his life was transformed.
Pursuing God’s calling, Anderson earned a theology degree focused on urban missions and served as a youth pastor. His first international mission trip through a soccer camp revealed God’s transformative work in sports ministry. He further pursued education in sports, opening doors to international opportunities across diverse disciplines—from surfing to soccer, CrossFit to running. These rich experiences shaped his mission and deepened his purpose in serving Christ through athletic disciplines.
Today, Anderson serves alongside his family, Raquel and Mateus, in Rio de Janeiro, dedicating themselves to making disciples in and through sports.
